The Road to Essex. Part 2 -- Keystone and Swift with Keystone Authentication:
The following step-by-step guide is provided by guest contributor Florian Daniel Otel.
For developers curious about OpenStack™ Essex and interested to start using OpenStack Object Storage (aka Swift to the cool kids) with Keystone authentication, I’m pleased to bring you Part 2 of a step-by-step guide contributed by Florian Daniel Otel.
Florian’s tutorial will help you quickly get up and running with Keystone and Swift. While some people are comfortable using public cloud for test and development, others might prefer to start by doing test and dev on their own local servers. At the end of this tutorial, you’ll have your own, local environment of OpenStack Object Storage. As the installation will have the same core API interface as HP Cloud Services, you can use this interface for API testing. Please feel free to share this code and comment on this blog with any questions or feedback. Follow Florian on @FlorianOtel (Twitter) or +FlorianOtel (Google+).
If you’re hearing about this guide for the first time with this post, please start with The Road to Essex – Part 1, containing a link to the first part of Florian’s tutorial.
Part 2 focuses on Swift. If you’re ready to move to part 2, then click to continue to The Road to Essex Part 2 – Keystone and Swift with Keystone Authentication, by Florian Otel.
