Technotes: XenDesktop 5 - Understanding and Controlling Power Management Actions #Citrix
Technotes: XenDesktop 5 - Understanding and Controlling Power Management Actions: When designing and managing a XenDesktop environment, it is important to understand the interaction between the Desktop Delivery Controller(s) and the Hypervisor in the environment. The Desktop Delivery Controller will issue Power Actions to the hypervisor for VMs for various reasons e.g. User Driven Restart, Admin restart via Management Console, Failed Registration/Registration timeout, Idle Pool Count requirements etc. This document details some of the underlying functionality of, and options available to control these actions. It focuses particularly on criteria for, and behaviour during, Power Actions which fail to succeed.
