Google Drops Support for IE 8, Windows XP: Shortly after Internet Explorer 10 launches next month Google Apps will drop support for IE 8. That's par for the course at Google Apps, but this time around the new browser requirements also mean Google is dropping support for Windows XP, which still runs on almost 40 percent of PCs worldwide, but can't run IE 9 or 10.
