Citrix CloudPlatform Multiple Security Updates
CVE-2013-2756: Console proxy authentication bypass vulnerability
CVE-2013-2757: Unauthenticated VNC ports available on the management network
CVE-2013-2758: Console proxy URLs may contain sensitive information
These vulnerabilities affect all versions of CloudPlatform 3.0.x up to and including 3.0.6 with patch B applied when deployed with XenServer, other Xen hypervisors or KVM.
What Customers Should Do
A security patch has been released to address these issues. Citrix strongly recommends that all affected customers upgrade to version 3.0.6 of Citrix CloudPlatform and apply this patch. This patch can be downloaded from the following locations:
Citrix CloudPlatform:
RedHat Enterprise Linux 5: CTX137279 CloudPlatform 3.0.6 PatchC - RHEL 5
RedHat Enterprise Linux 6.2: CTX137280 CloudPlatform 3.0.6 PatchC - RHEL 6.2
RedHat Enterprise Linux 6.3: CTX137281 CloudPlatform 3.0.6 PatchC (RHEL 6.3)
Customers using Citrix CloudStack 2.2.x, or CloudPlatform 3.0.x that cannot upgrade to 3.0.6, should contact their Citrix Customer Support representative for further information. Customers upgrading from affected versions of CloudPlatform should ensure that all hypervisors are appropriately configured for the new version of CloudPlatform.
Citrix also recommends that customers consider making the following changes to their CloudPlatform deployments:
Customers should avoid the use of realhostip.com SSL certificates for production environments. Please see Citrix Knowledge Center article CTX133468 How to Replace realhostip.com with Your Own Domain Name for further information on how to configure your CloudPlatform deployment.
In line with best practice, customers should ensure that the CloudPlatform management network is segregated from all other traffic.
