The Puppet Labs docs team has just made a big update to the MCollective deployment documentation!
Our goal in this rewrite has been to condense a lot of the information about how to secure a deployment and scale it, and to make the best practices we've discovered over the years a lot more visible and unified. If you've been curious about MCollective but haven't gotten around to trying it yet, now is a great time to check it out.
We've posted the following new pages:
Pre-Deployment
Overview of Components and Configuration — This page describes the pieces of an MCollective deployment, and covers some of the global configuration that affects all components.
Deployment
Index — A brief overview of the deployment process.
Vagrant Demo — An easy way to experiment with MCollective, with almost no configuration.
Getting Started (Standard Deployment) — A step-by-step guide to deploying and configuring a secure and scalable MCollective architecture into your production environment.
