CumuLogic Announces On-Premises MongoDB Database-as-a-Service Platform for Enterprises

World's first on-prem DBaaS platform to support multiple relational and NoSQL databases now empowers enterprises to deliver production-ready MongoDB "as a service" inside the firewall.

Santa Clara, Calif. – June 24, 2014 – CumuLogic, the leading innovator in private Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) software, is pleased to announce the immediate availability of its new CumuLogic DBaaS Platform, MongoDB Edition. This edition is free for evaluation for 45 days, providing enterprises with a fully-featured MongoDB "as-a-Service" software solution. The software allows IT organizations to leverage their existing infrastructure to build an on-premises MongoDB-as-a-Service offering for application developers, QA/testing and operations teams.

For enterprises, which are bound by compliance and regulation requirements, the CumuLogic DBaaS Platform brings the capabilities of public Database-as-a-Service solutions inside their datacenters.

The CumuLogic DBaaS Platform, MongoDB Edition can transform an organization's approach to delivering data services to application development teams by automating the provisioning and operations of multiple database technologies, via a self-service portal. With an Amazon-like approach to delivering data services inside the enterprise firewall, CumuLogic's solution enables IT Ops to retain control of the underlying infrastructure for governance and security.

CumuLogic's DBaaS Platform, MongoDB Edition automates the provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and failure recovery of MongoDB sharded clusters, replica sets, and single-node database instances. CumuLogic's platform manages file system-level automated backups and restores, while users can scale the size of sharded clusters on demand. CumuLogic's platform can recover databases from failures, such as storage and network failures, hence preventing application downtime.

At MongoDB World, CumuLogic will be presenting the CumuLogic DBaaS Platform, MongoDB Edition, highlighting how the platform can help Fortune 1000 customers speed time-to-market, by empowering application developers to provision databases on demand in just minutes, dramatically improving developer productivity and reducing friction in getting new applications to market.

"CumuLogic's DBaaS platform offers its users a powerful option for deploying MongoDB in a fully automated manner inside the firewall, integrated with the MongoDB Management Service (MMS)," said Vijay Vijayasankar, VP of Global Channels and Business Development at MongoDB. "We are pleased to be working with CumuLogic to help further simplify the developer experience through self-service and highly scalable MongoDB provisioning services."

"MongoDB is the leading NoSQL database, and with features like auto-sharding, native cache, and high availability, MongoDB is suitable for high performance applications," said Rajesh Ramchandani, CumuLogic's founder and CTO. "CumuLogic's DBaaS platform not only makes MongoDB development simple for developers, it also enables Ops teams to easily deploy MongoDB at a very large scale, inside the firewall."

CumuLogic DBaaS Platform, MongoDB Edition is available for download at cumulogic.com/mongodb, and will soon be available in the Amazon Web Services Marketplace.

You can also find out more about the CumuLogic DBaaS platform at MongoDB World 2014, on Wednesday, June 25, 1:30pm (Riverside suite), during the session entitled "Automating MongoDB as a Service: CumuLogic's On-Premises Service Combining Private, Public, or Hybrid Cloud".
