XenDesktop 7.6 Connection Leasing Design Considerations [feedly]

XenDesktop 7.6 Connection Leasing Design Considerations
// Citrix Blogs

The connection leasing feature in XenDesktop 7.6 is designed to allow some resiliency in situations where the site SQL database has failed due connectivity or other issues. It will allow users to continue to connect to resources that they have previously connected to within the last two weeks (administrator configurable). It achieves this by creating lease files for the applications and desktops and caching them on each Controller in the site. Each of these XML files contains information about the user, available resources to the user, and the resources they have previously connected to. It should be noted that Connection Leasing is not intended to be a replacement for a SQL Server High Availability configuration.
