It is only a matter of time before you get that call. A critical app is unavailable. Users can’t access their email inboxes. A file share is down. End users can’t access resources, and help desk tickets are pouring in.

The most recent outage is an example where a networking failure prevented outbound communication from our customer’s networks to Microsoft-hosted resources. While Citrix Cloud services were not impacted by the outage, customers using AT&T couldn’t reach our cloud services. Thankfully, due to the resiliency of our technology, Local Host Cache (LHC) and Service Continuity technology took over, allowing users to launch sessions uninterrupted
Take one of our customers, an insurance provider based in the United States. When their connection to Microsoft went down, LHC jumped in behind the scenes to save the day. With over twenty thousand launches across their entire environment and an over 96% launch success rate, their users were able to keep on working, blissfully unaware of the IT chaos happening in the background.
As you can see in the launch data above, after an initial dip in launches at the beginning of the outage, LHC kicked in to ensure users could connect. Once the outage was over, those users seamlessly transitioned back to regular launches and they were none the wiser.
LHC wasn’t the only technology to save the day. Take another customer, an investment firm based in the United States. Markets don’t stop because there’s a network issue, and neither should end users. Thanks to Service Continuity, this customer’s users didn’t have to. With a 94% success rate, they were able to continue to go about their business—taking care of their customers, instead of experiencing down time.
